Dzień Programisty – święto programistów obchodzone w 256. dniu roku (256 = 2^8, czyli liczba wszystkich możliwych stanów jednego bajta informacji w jego najpopularniejszej, 8-bitowej postaci). Tradycyjnie, programiści starają się uczcić ten dzień w jakiś niekonwencjonalny sposób. Dzień Programisty wypada 13 września, a w latach przestępnych 12 września.
